PRO E85 race results from 5/10/25 at GLD

WE HAD 17 drivers sign up but only 14 were able to make the race. We had Tony Damio come out in his 2017 Hell Cat to race with us for the first time. After 2 rounds of qualifying, Nick Dinga won the Farmer Joe and Darlene Hopp. #1 qualifier with a 8.93. During semi finals, Tim “Game Changer”Johnson and Rich”Burnout”Black paired up. They ran identical times of 8.933, however Rich ended up winning due to reaction time of a .012 vs Tims .026. After 4 rounds the final was set between # 1 qualifier and #2 qualifier ,Nick Dinga vs Rich Black.  Nick Dinga was able to get to the finish first giving Him and His dad their first ever win. Congratulations Dinga family. Butch Smith beat Mike Phipps giving Butch the Randy and Collen Lee Bounty  Hunter bonus. Mike won last race of last year .Nick also won the HPL  Winner bonus. Thank you Ignite racing fuel suppling the fuel for our cars. Thank you Steve Roden for setting all this up and having a great program.

X  E85 race results from 5/10/25 at GLD

We had  5 drivers show for first race. Ken Shertz came back from last year to switch his Fuel to e85 and change his hood to fit the rules . Ken came out being the  # 1 qualifier with a 10.05. We had 3 rounds of racing. The final was between Mike Vinezeano and Ken Shertz. Both broke out but Ken was closer to the 10.0 dial in. Congratulations Ken and Family for joining our group and winning the race. Ken also won the Mr. Fabulous reaction time bonus with a .042

Race results for 5/24/25 @ Great Lakes Dragaway for Memorial Day Classic

We had 21 drivers come out today.  After 2 rounds of Qualifying,  Tim Johnson won the Farmer Joe and Darlene Hopp # 1 Qualifier with a 8.902.  

We had 5 rounds of racing. The final was set Rob Keller vs Nick Dinga. What  a close race. At the end Rob Keller won his first race of 2025. Nick Dinga was runner up and was in his Second final round appearance in a row .Nick Dinga is leading the points. Rob Keller won the HPL Superior Lubricant Bonus and the Randy and Collen lee Bounty Hunter bonus for beating last race winner Nick Dinga. Thank you Ignite Racing Fuel for suppling our E85 fuel , Great Lakes Dragaway for doing an awesome job with moving the show along.

PRO E85 Recap for US 41 6/29/25

We had 18 drivers show up to the race. It was the groups first outing at 41 since last year. A sudden downpour 10 minutes before Q1 put a huge damper into everyone’s preparation putting a 2 hour delay on our start time. The US 41 track crew did a phenomenal job of cleaning up the track and making it work again, I would like to take a minute to thank Lynne, the track manager, and her entire staff for a huge effort to make it safe for all the racers. Thank you. 

After 2 rounds of qualifying, Aiden ”Free Ride” Phipps comes up #1 qualifier with a 8.9036. He wins the Farmer Joe and Darlene Hopp #1 qualifier Bonus. 

The heat and earlier rain put many in a hurry up and wait situation. Until finally getting back to racing and dealing with  “you got 30 minutes” to get back up to the lanes. Everyone cooperated and was able to keep up the quick pace of racing. 

With 4 rounds of racing complete, the finals were set. Phil “Filly 50” Palicke vs Frank “The Assassin” Morgan. Frank had the better reaction time off the start but couldn’t hold off the extra boost Phil gave it at the end to pass him and take the win, a 8.99 to Franks. 9.03. Congratulations. Phil also wins the HPL Superior Lubricant winner bonus. Since Rich Black is on vacation we will have to wait til next race for the Randy and Collen Lee Bounty Hunter Bonus. Steve Penrod gets the Mr. Fabulous Reaction Time bonus with an impressive .006. 

Thank you Ignite Racing Fuel for supplying the corn to power our cars and to US 41 in helping us get 7 rounds of racing done in less than 6 hours.

X E85 1/8 Mile Race Recap for 6/29/25 at US 41  

We had a total of 12 drivers participate. The race was open to other vehicles not using E85 who wanted to take on the X class. We welcomed several first-time racers today. After two rounds of qualifying, James Crowder secured the #1 qualifier spot with a time of 6.5002. The qualifying rounds were extremely competitive, with four racers clocking in at 6.50xx today. The racing was fantastic throughout the day, especially once the weather cleared up after the heavy rain just 5 minutes before Q1. A big thank you to the US 41 crew for their excellent work in repairing the track after the rain.  

Following three rounds of racing, the final matchup was set between James Crowder and Lee Hirschfield. James Crowder emerged victorious with a time of 6.5306. Congratulations to Ken Schertz for winning the Mr. Fabulous Reaction Time bonus with an impressive .0407.

We had 14 Pro E85 drivers show up to race. After 2 rounds of qualifying Randy Lee “Yellow Dog” won the farmer Joe and Darlene Hopp #1  qualifier bonus with a 8.910

Mike Phipps had a 8.911

Rob keller.     had a 8.915

Jason Grub had a 8.916

We had 9 drivers qualifying in the 8.9 range. Great job everyone. The final was set between Jason Grub and Mike Phipps. Mike left early  and gave Jason Grub his first win of the year and almost a perfect pass. He ran 8.901. Jason won the HPL Superior Lubricants bonus. Duane Waldrop won the Randy and Collen Lee  Bounty  Hunter bonus by beating Rich Black. Frank Morgan won the Randy ans Collen Lee Bounty Hunter, bonus by beating Phil Palicke. . Race Recap For “Farmer Joe & Darlene Hopp” Friends and family day. WOW IS ALL I CAN SAY. What a turn out  we had yesterday. Thank you to the Entire Hopp Family for sponsoring this event.  The Hopp family cooked 110 pork chops. The Drivers and Family members brought fyou the food was amazing.

We got to make 3 passes in front of the biggest crowd i have seen at US 41 in years. Thank you Mike Balina  and US 41 for doing this event and dealing with the 106 Degree temperatures. After 2 rounds of qualifying , Randy lee “Yellow Dog” won the farmer Joe and Darlene Hopp number #1 qualifier with an 8.90. For X E85 Lee Hirschfield with a 6.50 . Both the drivers made a perfect pass yesterday. Congratulations to both Randy Lee and Lee Hirschfield. We were only able to finish one round of eliminations and then the rain and the wind came and the race got canceled. Our next race is at Great Lakes dragway Labor Day weekend..

This is the race recap for the race that  got canceled August 19 at Great Lakes Dragaway .  We  were able to finish this race Saturday at the Time Machine Nationals .

After 3 rounds we had our final set between NIck”Iron Man” Dinga vs Mike Phipps “Black Top”. Nick and Mike are #1&3 in points. Nick was able to get to the finish first giving him his 3rd win this year. Thank you Ignite Racing fuel for Suppling us with that Corn Power for our cars. Nick also won the HPL Superior Lubricant Winner bonus.

Race Racap for Time Machine Nationals @ Great Lakes Dragaway. We had 17 drivers show up and compete in-front of a packed house. Nick “Iron Man “Dinga won the Farmer Joe and Darlene Hopp # 1 qualifier with a 8.901, also this was round 2 of eliminations from another  race we finished and right off the trailer. Great Job Nick. After 5 rounds of racing the final was set between Rob”Bad Habit” Keller and Jason “Menace “Grub.  Rob Keller got the jump on Jason but ended up Braking out , given Jason his Second win of 2025. Jason won the HPL Superior Lubricants winner bonus. Thank You Ignite Racing  Fuel for supplying our corn feed power for our cars.  We have 1 more race left and the Championship will be decided this last race.
