Race recap for X E85 from 7/15/23 NSCB

We had 8 drivers compete at NSCB. After 2 rounds of qualifying, Victor Trout won the #1 qualifier with a 10.026 and Brad Lamprecht had a close second with a 10.057. The final was set between Victor Trout and Ben Kelly. Victor Trout had a trans brake issue and rolled thru the lights giving Ben Kelly his second win of 2023. Top 5 are close in points with 3 races left. Ben Kelly also won the Mr. Fabulous reaction time bonus with a .091. Next race is July 30th at US 41.

Race recap for 7/15/23 NSCB. We had 15 drivers show up. However 3 Time champ John Blanchard had some engine troubles and was unable to compete. Rob “Overkill”Vinezeano had some transmission issue .They both will be back soon. After 2 rounds of qualifying, Phil Palicke got the “Farmer Joe and Darlene Hopp” #1 qualifier with a 8.908.  After 2 rounds of qualifying the final was set. 2 Time champ Randy lee”Yellow Dog” vs Frank”Assassin “Morgan. Randy turned on the red light and gave Frank Morgan his Second win of the season. Look out everyone “Assassin”is on a mission and took the Pro e85 Points lead. Frank won the “HPL Superior lubricant & Langels in Crown Point” winner bonus. Randy lee won the Langels in Crown Point runner up bonus. You can bet he will be seeing Brian Radzinski at langels for that pizza. Billy”King Pin” Cochran won the Dan Davinci reaction time bonus with a .025 and  also won the “Valpo Muffler “ Highest Wheelie bonus . Randy Lee won the Van Senus”Auto Value” best burnout bonus with his 2 huge burnouts. Frank also won the Randy & Collen “Bounty Hunter bonus by beating previous race winner Joe Beach on the trailer.  Thank you all our sponsors and The crew @ Great Lakes Dragaway. PRO E85 recap for 7/30/23. We had 18 drivers show up for the race at GLD. Bill Dinga came out in his beautiful Pontiac Firebird, His son Nick drove the car and made an impressive 9.0 pass on the second pass in the car. Billy Cochran made his first ever 8.80 pass and on his way of getting his car dialed in. After 2 rounds of qualifying ,we had 2 drivers run identical times. Randy Lee and Butch Smith both pulled out a 8.903 pass. However the computer gave the “Farmer Joe and Darlene Hopp “ # 1 qualifier to Butch Smith. After 4 rounds the final was set between John Blanchard and Randy Lee. John had a rear end issue and was not able to drive his car in the final.But with the new rule in place, He drove Aaron Millers car in the final. John made an awesome pass but couldnt pull off the win. Randy Lee got to the  finish first and won the race and put him back in the #1 position in points. Randy won the HPL Superior Oil and Langels Pizza in Crown Point  Winner Bonuses. John Blanchard won the Langels Pizza in Crown Point runner up Bonus. Mike Phipps won the Dan Davinci reaction time bonus with a .015. John Blanchard won the Randy and Collen “Bounty Hunter “bonus by putting Frank Morgan on the trailer. Butch Klibofske won the Valpo Muffler “Highest Wheelie “ Bonus. The Auto Value”Best Burnout “ Bonus still has not been decided. Thanks for everyone coming to GLD to race Sunday.

X E85 recap for the 7/30/23 race Great Lakes Dragaway. First we want to thank  Marcel for letting us run at his track on such a short notice. We had 6 X E85 drivers compete. We had Scott Lovell come back to race with us. These 10.0 guys know  to throw some nimbeds down during qualifying. Mike Vinezeano got the #1 qualifier wit a 10.012, Ben kelly 10.022. Mike Vinezeano got the Mr. Fabulous “Reaction Time” bonus with a .003, however he raced Scott Lovell and he got a .004 reaction time. Great job by all the drivers on accuracy on reaction times and running the 10.0 index. After 3 rounds the final was set , Scott Lovell vs Victor Trout. Scott turned on the red light and gave Victor his First ever win in X E85. Congratulations Victor and all other drivers. Ben Kelly is hanging on to that points lead. See everyone @ Blue Top 8/12/23.

Pro e85 recap from 8/19/23 @ US 41

Sorry but this will be a long post.   I First want to say Thank you “Farmer Joe & Darlene Hopp” You have made this friends and family even the biggest event we have, your Pork Chops and your support is amazing. On Behalf of everyone at PRO E85 & X E85, THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU DO FOR US . We served over 130 plates of food. Thank you members, Family, Friends and fans for coming out and bringing a dish to share. We had 18 cars show up. Frank Morgan had some engine problems Friday night and Mike Sisson loaned him his Nova to race. Thats how much a Pro E85 Championship means to Frank. Dont count him out, im sure he has something up his sleeve to chase after this championship. After 2 rounds of qualifying. Jason Grub won the “ Farmer Joe and Darlene Hopp” #1 qualifier with a 5.7085, Bill Cochran was second with a 5.7088, what close competition. After 5 rounds of racing the final was set Between  Duane Waldrop and John Blanchard. John Blanchard got his First win of 2023. Here are the bonus Winners. Aidan Phipps won the “Farmer Joe and Darlene Hopp” Friends and family bounty Hunter bonus by putting Prevoius Friends and family winner Rob Vinezeano on the Trailer, he also won the Randy and Collens Bounty Hunter bonus by putting previous race winner Randy Lee on the trailer. Steve Penrod won the Valpo Muffler “ Highest wheelie “Bonus while Duane Waldrop won the Auto Value”Van Senus” Best Burnout Bonus. Phil Palicke won the Dan DaVinci reaction Time bonus with a .003. John Blanchard won the  Langels Pizza in Crown Point and the HPL superior Oil Winner bonus. Duane Waldrop won the Langels Pizza in Crown Point runner up Bonus. X E85 racap for 8/19/23 for Farmer Joe and Darlene Hopp Friends and family. We had 8 drivers compete in X E85. Aaron Gerling came  back to race with us again after having surgery and came back and got the #1 Qualifying spot. The points battle is getting close with 2 races left. After 3 rounds of racing the final was set, Scott Lovell and Victor Trout, rematch from previous race. When the lights went down, Victor Trouts nitrous malfunctioned and Scott drove away and got the win. This is Scotts second win this year. With 2 races left, this battle is not over.  Victor Trout won the Mr, Mr. Fabulous Photography reaction time bonus.

X E85 Recap for 8/27/23

We had 8 X E85 drivers show up to race. Scott Lovell was trying to win 3 out of the 4 races he attended but Brad Lamprecht had other plans. Brad Defeated Scott in first round. Victor Trout was the Only driver that could stop Ben Kelly from winning the X E85 Championship but had  a mechanical issue and was unable to advice and stop Ben Kelly. Brad Lamprecht got the #1 qualifier with a 6.50. Ben Kelly won the Mr. Fabulous “ Reaction Time “Bonus. The final was set between Ben Kelly and Brad Lamprecht. Ben Kelly won  and also won his First “X E85 “ Championship. Congratulations Ben Kelly driving “Moonshine” . No doubt you will have a bad ass trophy coming. Thank you for your dedication to the group.

PRO E85 recap for 8/27/23

We had 18 drivers show up to US 41. Peter Shannon showed up but still fighting some gremlins with the car. Frank Morgan ended his 2023 season and is taking the winter to regroup, trust me he will be back. We had 2 rounds of qualifying. 7 drivers qualified with a 5.72-5.79 index. Butch Klibofske won the  “Farmer Joe and Darlene Hopp “ # 1 qualifier with a 5.702 . After 5 Rounds of qualifying, the final was set between Randy Lee and Aaron Miller. Randy Lee won his second race of 2023. With that win he only needs 2 round wins in the next 2 races to capture his 3rd PRO E85 Championship. Randy won the HPL Superior Lubricant and Crown Point Langels pizza winner bonus. Aaron Miller won the Crown Point Langels Pizza runner up bonus. Rob Vinezeano got the “Randy and Collen” Bounty Hunter bonus by putting John Blanchard on the trailer first round. Billy Cochran won the Valpo Muffler Highest Wheelie Bonus and the Dan Davinci reaction time bonus, he had a .003 and a .006. Duane Waldrop won the Auto Value “VanSenus” Burnout Bonus.
